I was born and raised in Las Vegas, graduated high school from CCSD, and continued on to UNLV for my B.S. in Elementary Education and Touro University Nevada for my M. Ed in Curriculum & Instruction with an emphasis in School Counseling. I’ve been in the local educational community for 12 years professionally in CCSD, public charters, and with the homeschool community. I have experience teaching K-8 (6-8 math specialization), school counseling K-12, and as a project facilitator with expertise in district and school-wide implementation of tiered behavioral and academic supports and interventions.
Students need strong foundations in reading, writing, and mathematics (arithmetic)
Zero to minimal screen time for primary grades (K-2nd)
Integrated physical movement, nature exploration, dramatic play, music, art, and technology create versatile, grounded students
Social-emotional learning is a non-negotiable, kids don't learn when they don't feel safe and part of the educational community
I’m married to my LV Firefighter and high school sweetheart. We have a 4 and 1 year old we love traveling and adventuring with. When I get a rare chance alone, I’m probably reading, powerlifting, or hanging out with my Little Buds community of friends.
